Later discovering CrossFit, he took a new route in the fitness industry and started his own affiliate, Imperial CrossFit. As a competitive athlete, Ryan fell in love with Olympic Weightlifting. Working under the knowledgeable, world famous, Coach John Thrush was when Ryan began to learn the ins and outs of weightlifting and began to compete nationally as a (85kg) weightlifter. Not only does Ryan compete in Olympic Weightlifting, but he has also coached athletes at both Youth Nationals and World Masters in 2015.
